Syberia 3: Is It The Best One Yet?
The Continuation Of The Adventures of Kate Walker...
Syberia 3 was a game that was released in April 20, 2017 (European Union), and April 25, 2017 (United States) for the PS4 and XBox One. Nintendo Switch is just catching up by getting this game released for the NS in October 20, 2017. So for those that love the Syberia series and only has the Nintendo Switch, it’s your lucky October 20, 2017.
Title: Syberia 3
Game Engine: Unity
Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Mode: Single Player
Release Date: October 20, 2017
The game is a third person perspective adventure game where the gamer solves puzzles using the mouse. If you can’t solve the puzzle then the story doesn’t progress forward until you cheat and get the solutions online and continue. Or you just get lucky and solve the puzzles by accident, accidental success is better than no success.
Kate Walker leaves the island Syberia on a makeshift boat. She becomes adrift and helpless to nature until she is rescued by the Youkol people. She decides to help them escape from their enemy and help them complete their ancestral tradition while they follow their snow ostriches migration. In this world of Syberia, springs and gears are what powers devices and tools.
She will pass through Valsembor, a town. She will sail on a ship called Krystal. She will go through an abandoned theme park named Baranour, which was destroyed by a nuclear fallout and deadly radiation still lingers effectively blocking certain parts of the park off. Kate will eventually help the Youkol people find their lost temple and reach the snow ostriches breeding grounds. This sounds exciting and I anticipate that the game will provide an awesome story-like adventure.
Did you know that Microids announced the development of Syberia 3 way back in April 1, 2009? The game was slightly delayed because Microids was bought by Anuman. The game was released in April 2017, and dubbed in English, French, German, Polish, and Russian. Subtitles were added in Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Czech, Korean, and Chinese.
The critics loved Syberia 3’s atmospheric setting, soundtracks and the puzzles. What was disappointing was the bugs that the game had. The game has since then received two updates, fixing the various bugs encountered. So lucky you for those getting the Nintendo Switch version of the game in October 20, 2017.
